Karli Postel

Karli Postel

Karli began her equestrian career at Foxfield in Westlake Village, riding with her grandmother JoAnn Postel and great-aunt Nancy Turrill. A member of the Foxfield Equestrian Team, she learned both horsemanship skills and hunter-jumper basics

In her high school years, she transitioned to show-focused training with Kathy Megla and Holly Scapa, concentrating in equitation and jumpers. She then had the opportunity to work with different trainers each semester while earning a degree in Psychology at Goucher College. After graduating in 2013, she became part of Cross Creek Farm’s staff in Malibu, gaining experience training horses and riders full time.

Karli now brings her knowledge and passion to the Brookway Stables team, both training and showing under Archie’s leadership.

“I am beyond excited to announce my return to Brookway Stables! I couldn’t be more thrilled to work alongside Karli Postel and Archie Cox for this next chapter ahead.

Returning to Brookway feels like coming home, and I am so happy to be reunited with old friends and also to create new memories as we work towards achieving endless possibilities!”

Katie Hauss was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her love for horses began when she started taking lessons at the age of 9. Throughout her junior years, Katie continued to ride and compete locally all while learning to groom and care for her own horses. She finished out her high school years with many wins in the equitation and jumper rings under the guidance of trainer Archie Cox, and ended her junior career by competing in the 2004 ASPCA Maclay Finals in New York City.

Katie attended college at Syracuse University in New York where she joined the school’s equestrian team. As a freshman, Katie won every single class in the IHSA’s open division for her team during their regular season. She went on to win both Regionals and Zone finals that year and became the first undergraduate rider for SU to advance to Nationals in two different individual classes. After graduating college, Katie moved back to California to be closer to her family. In 2008, she became a professional and started working as an assistant to Julie Winkel.

Since that time, Katie has dedicated much hard work and many hours to furthering her knowledge as a professional, and has gained experience working for some of Southern California’s top trainers and programs.

Stirling Kincannon

Stirling’s mom Nancy owned a tack shop and is also an avid horsewoman, so it was no surprise that Stirling’s love of horses began at a very early age. With her mother’s help, she grew up riding project ponies, showing in the pony hunter divisions and equitation at the local horse shows in North Texas. When Stirling was ready to take on the jumper ring, Nancy made a call to Mike McCormick who gave her the opportunity to become a working student. As a junior, Stirling went on to compete in her first Grand Prix at the age of 16, represented Zone 7 at Prix de States, and was Zone 7 junior jumper champion 3 years in a row.

Upon aging out of the Junior divisions, Stirling turned professional and continued to work for MTM farm before eventually starting her own business. She was fortunate enough to spend multiple summers with her clients competing in Southern California, which is where she first became more familiar with Archie’s program and Brookway Stables.

When she heard Archie was looking for an additional assistant, Stirling was thrilled at the opportunity to join Archie’s team. “I have always admired Archie’s ability to produce both winning horses and winning riders. I could not be more excited to be a part of the Brookway Stables team, and continue learning from such a well respected horseman.”
